Good Morning to ya! I just arrived at work and did the usual routine by setting up my station and counting my money and checked my email. I then got on yahoo mail and was curious to see a headline that said a disease that had killed off some of Europe in the medieval times had reared it's ugly head again. The Bubonic plague is back! The first time I ever heard of this plague was in my college history class. My teacher was explaining how the plague was carried, which is through infected fleas that live on rodents, and then cause black bumps to appear on the victims skin. When there is an outbreak on someone, it is called a bouba. I, of course, being the immature person that I am, thought that this was the most hilarious thing I ever heard. It is such a funny word to describe something that is not funny at all! Anyway, bottom line is that there have been some new outbreaks in Africa. I know this isn't a very exciting blog, but I thought it was interesting and it brought back good memory's of my history class. Have a great day!
